The environment
On 1956, some wine growers of the Arbresle region wishing to share their tools of production create the Coteaux du Lyonnais cooperative winery.
The named-place “Les Ragots" situated on the Sain Bel commune about the middle outstrips between Sain Bel and Arbresle is chosen to become the site of wine making and packaging.
The production is based on wines of the Beaujolais and Lyonnais
This cooperative winery which take root in “the Lyon country " renowned for its gastronomy is quite naturally going to produce wines to be associated with this tradition. Coteaux du Lyonnais wines, main production of the winery are recognized as a young and dynamic Controlled Origin Label.
These evolutions correspond to a new image: Today, 120 members cultivate approximately 265 hectares of Beaujolais and Coteaux du Lyonnais. Under a new company name, the “Vignerons de Sain Bel" launch their brand" Sain Bel in Lyonnais “in order to strengthen their geographical identity.

Under the responsibility of the president and his board of directors, every wine growers, a team of 10 employees takes care of various works of vinification, ageing, packaging and marketing of wines as well as all the administrative and countable management of the company.
An adapted tool of wine making...

The production is based on 2 AOC and 3 colours (red / white / rosé). Since 1995, a modern and adapted tool of wine making allows to use the best potential of realized work by the wine growers and to emphasize the characters for every vintage.
The People
The main idea of cooperation is to get together the energies and potentials to optimize a production system.
In other words, the involvement of each wine producer in order to achieve a collective result, to participate in the monitoring of production conditions. To observe, learn, exchange ideas on the field to better reasoning interventions on his farm.
In order to meet environmental standards and lead the vine in a reasoned way, 7 groups of wine growers, divided by geographic area, are meeting four times during the annual cycle of the vine in fields chosen for their technical knowledge.
Supervised by a technician from the Chamber of Agriculture, the growers can adapt their vineyard in the stage of vine development, climatology of the vintage and the pressure of different diseases and pests

Participation in the development of tourist trails in wine Coteaux du Lyonnais allowing people who wish to visit our region to explore the hills and slopes sheltering vines.
A diverse landscape in which coexist randomly valley vineyards, cherry orchards, grasslands or forests
