Presentation
The vineyard of Charnay spreads over 500 acres of hillsides. The clay and limestone soils in Charnay produce Chardonnay, a typical variety of this kind of soil, from which our white wines are made up.
Among all these wines, "Pouilly-Fuissé" is certainly the most renowned. In fact, this famous burgundy wine made the cellar's name. Pouilly-Fuissé is one of the side of a range of five other wines with varied and agreeable characters: Pouilly-Vinzelle, Saint-Véran, Whites and Red Beaujolais and Mâcon-Villages constitute an exhaustive mix which satisfies all the tastes.
Located in the Mâcon surroundings, the granitic soils allow the Gamay grape to reach their full expression. This variety which was introduced in the Beaujolais area produces red wines.
Located in the vicinity, the granitic soils are the prerogative of the Gamay grape in the Beaujolais and from which are made the red wines.

Location
Dominating the Saone Valley and facing the Alps and the Lyon Massifs, the site of Chaintre is ideally located.
With a fertile and water-rich soil, the site of Chaintré is built against the last walls of the Mâcon mountains, a verdant massif with a specific relief and famous residual summits of the jurassic period. These calcareous peaks remind us that the site history began during the prehistoric period.
With its 500 km, the road of the Maconnais-Beaujolais wines will suprise you by its quiet diversity. From hills to valleys, from villages to vineyards, you will enjoy the art and the pleasure of living in this area "blessed by gods". The thousand "Suivez la grappe" ("Follow the grape") signs will show you the way, from surprise to suprise
