Presentation
The Chateau Beynat, almost a century, is an area acquired in 1917 by Leonard Nebout, while hardware store owner in Castillon. The property was known as "Area of Beynat. Located on the hillside, facing south, facing the Dordogne on the town of Saint Magne de Castillon vineyard area did not exceed eight hectares. Leonard disappeared in 1921, his wife ran the estate re-named "Chateau de Beynat". She began building the winery in 1924. From his son Henry Borliachon is a succession of three generations of Borliachon who succeeded him.
Each generation has perpetuated this valuable expertise to the company by putting the best in the company of with a touch of personality.
A succession of these four generations, we, Nathalie Boyer and Alain Tourenne continue this adventure.
Our joint project is to showcase this beautiful heritage and this in respect for the environment, the property is from the 2008 vintage organic in conversion (control body Ecocert). Today the castle Beynat a vineyard area of 14 hectares, 1 hectare in Saint-Emilion

The vineyard
On clay-limestone and sandy clay, the vines flourish here. Planted with Merlot (55%), Cabernet Franc (30%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and Malbec (5%), our vines are mostly aged over forty years. Mode of Culture. Grassing all ranks, with amendments Natural pruning, thinning, leaf removal.
Oenology
At the castle Beynat harvest is manual and mechanical and carefully sorted. These grapes, ripe and healthy, stemmed, crushed, born a few weeks of fermentation, a terroir wine, typical of its appellation. It will be raised partly in oak barrels (Cuvee Leonard) and is bottled after 18 months of aging.
